New Request (Redirected from Homepage after Login)
- If the reference was found in the Homepage, the New Request page displays a bibliographic form automatically filled with the imported bibliographic metadata. Before to click on the “Submit” button, check for missing fields (ex. Authors) highlighted in red and complete them. [See table with minimum fields that must be completed]
- If the reference was not found in the Homepage, the New Request page displays and empty bibliographic form to be completed. Notice that you have to select the material type before start to fill the bibliographic metadata. [See table with minimum fields that must be completed]
New Request in the Borrowing menu
Use the “New Request” menu to create a new borrowing request. A new reference can be searched by the exact title or identifier (DOI or PMID) and automatically imported.
- If the reference has been found, it will be immediately displayed if an OA version is available or not and the bibliographic form will be automatically filled with the imported bibliographic metadata. By clicking on the “OA version found” you can access to the OA document. If you want to create a new request click on the “Submit” button. Remember to check for missing fields (ex. Authors) highlighted in red and complete them. [See table with minimum fields that must be completed]
- If the reference has not been found, it will be possible to fill an empty form. Notice that you have to select the publication type before starting to fill the bibliographic metadata. [See table with minimum fields that must be completed]

Request detail
After clicking on the “Submit” button the Request detail will be displayed.
The Request status box displays:
- the request ID,
- the request status: New (Notice that the request has not been sent yet!),
- the library operator who created the request,
- the date the request has been created.
Below the Request status box, the bibliographic metadata may be visualized in short or full mode.
To manage the request, you have to go to the Pending requests menu.
(see figures 11 and “Pending requests” submenu where you will find the request by its unique id.
